You may know my story that in my mid-thirties I was on a quest to discover my life’s purpose. I was going through a period of existential angst; I felt so unhappy, discontented and unfulfilled. Moreover, I felt lost, unclear and disconnected to the world around me even though I seemed happy on the outside. In fact, I believed deep in my heart that there was more to life than what my life was back then. I wanted to give my present-day existence more meaning and I discovered my life's purpose when I devoted time to uncover it.

Sometimes you cannot see the light at end of the tunnel because you focus on the wrong thing in order to move your life forward or to take it to the next level. Change requires doing things in a certain way.
In this blog article I share with you 3 ways you can empower yourself in order to change your results.
When something goes wrong the general tendency is to ask dis-empowering questions, such as: “Why me?”, “Why now?”, “What have I done?” etc. Such dis-empowering questions lead nowhere. Therefore it is important to be aware that the quality of the questions you ask yourself will determine the quality of your life experience.
Consequently, asking yourself empowering questions can have a miraculous effect on the results that you get in your life:

F.e.a.r (false expectation appearing real) seems to be epidemic in our world and it is clear that the importance we attach to it can keep us paralysed and stuck. However, should you wish to uncover and fulfil your life’s purpose it is important to learn how to use whatever fear you may have positively so that it serves you well.
Can fear serve you positively when you want to uncover and fulfil your life’s purpose?

1. Get unstuck
In order to get unstuck and change your results you must make the decision to do things differently. What most other people do when they are faced with fear is to remain stuck in the fear. Yet in order to let go of fear it must first be acknowledged and accepted. When you let go of resistance, you allow your fear to become your friendly ally and you can move forward and keep going.

When you look at your life as a workbook you understand that your life’s challenges and tribulations are lessons to be learnt.
Indeed, when you understand and believe that your life is a workbook of problems to be solved you realise that every problem and challenge in your life serves a purpose.
The sole purpose of your workbook of problems to be solved is to help you grow spiritually as a human being.
From this perspective onwards, it is therefore easier to consider your life’s challenges as allies i.e. as something happening for you and not to you or against you.
When you approach your life from this perspective you give yourself permission to experience life as a gift.

As shown by the statistics at least 45% of people want to create change in their life since they make resolutions at the beginning of every year. However, only 8% actually accomplish their dream.
Albert Einstein said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again whilst expecting a different result.
It is clear that you cannot change your results or create change whilst adopting the same habits, which created the imbalances in the first place.
What is the solution?
Indeed, if you are not getting the results that you want there is something that you do, which gets in the way of your new resolution and you must change it.
What habits are you to change?
It is possible that your thoughts are not supportive of the change you desire.

This is something I used to struggle with. I used to project myself into the future all the time instead of living and appreciating the present moment. Should you do the same; focusing too much on the future, you do not appreciate the present moment fully enough and I believe that a balance is necessary.
Or you might be someone who is stuck in the past and you constantly return to the past thinking about what was or what could have been?
