As shown by the statistics at least 45% of people want to create change in their life since they make resolutions at the beginning of every year. However, only 8% actually accomplish their dream.
Albert Einstein said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again whilst expecting a different result.
It is clear that you cannot change your results or create change whilst adopting the same habits, which created the imbalances in the first place.
What is the solution?
Indeed, if you are not getting the results that you want there is something that you do, which gets in the way of your new resolution and you must change it.
What habits are you to change?
It is possible that your thoughts are not supportive of the change you desire.
It is possible that your beliefs are not supportive of the change you desire.
It is possible that you actions are not supportive of the change you desire.
We are now more than half way through the year and you probably made some new year's resolutions last January such as: eat better, exercise more, spend less money, self-care, read more books, learn a new skill, get a new job, make new friends, get a new hobby, focus more on appearance etc. (according to YouGov poll these are the most popular new-year's resolutions for 2018).
Before I share with you the 3 Steps to Stay on track and Keep Your Resolution let us first look at what might be getting in the way.
1. You made a resolution but you do not really believe you can accomplish it
2. You are not sure that the grass is greener on the other side.
3. You are too busy doing other things and you have lost track.
These obstacles are very common and the statistics show that only 8% of people actually keep their resolutions.
Are you among the 8%? If not, below are 3 steps to stay on track and keep your resolution:
Step #1: Implement 'The...
In this blog article I pay homage to Mother Teresa's poem on celebrating and honoring life.
Mother Teresa’s poem reminds you that life loves you and how important it is to live in the now moment by moment.
This is something I used to struggle with. I used to project myself into the future all the time instead of living and appreciating the present moment. Should you do the same; focusing too much on the future, you do not appreciate the present moment fully enough and I believe that a balance is necessary.
Or you might be someone who is stuck in the past and you constantly return to the past thinking about what was or what could have been? This is a problem because you do not appreciate the present moment by moment since you are stuck on past memories you cannot change or on what was or could have been.
Mother Teresa's poem is a reminder to be grateful for what is, for each day of your life and to celebrate the present moment by moment.
You can do this.
Dr Wayne Dyer said that too many people die with their music still in them. What Dr Dyer meant was that many people have dreams but alas they never manage to accomplish them. Let this not be you...
I understand that sometimes you might not see the light at the end of the tunnel and you might feel like giving up on your dreams, however I would like to sheer you on by saying keep persevering!
In this blog article I share with you the 3 secrets to perseverance when you want to be on purpose:
Secret #1: Perseverance = Progress
Should you be disciplined, focused and consistent you are most certainly moving forward in the direction of your dream faster than you think. You might have the tendency to be hard on yourself because things do not seem to be moving ahead as quickly as you would like them to. However, trust:
Why are your thoughts everything?
Because your thoughts affect the quality of your life entirely:
As a reiki healer I often talk about vibration or the type of energy you project out whether it be positive or negative. When you project a negative vibration it is because you cultivate a negative way of thinking or negative thoughts and this negative way of thinking affects all areas of your life. On the other hand, when you project out a positive vibration it is because you cultivate a positive way of thinking and this positive way of thinking affects all areas of your life.
The choice is yours. Henry Ford said: “If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.” Choose your campus wisely the ‘naysayer’ or the ‘yes! I can’ campus and be aware that depending on which campus you choose...
In my vlog article Discover 3 Ways To Create Change I share with you 3 ways you can create change in your life and put them into practice when you do not get the results that you desire:
1. Stop doing what does not work
2. Do more of what works
3. Try introducing something new.
However, in this blog article I take this a step further by sharing with you a simple process you can implement to start doing something new or to do more of what works when you feel stuck.
Your purpose = your WHY
Your purpose is the reason why you do something, the direction you wish to take. It gives meaning to the reason WHY you do what you do. Knowing your purpose ensures that you are in the flow.
Your vision = your WHAT
Your vision is your WHAT. It is the way you express your purpose and the image you build and hold in your mind. Your vision answers the following question: how...
Isaac Newton said: “Truth is ever to be found in simplicity and not in the multiplicity and confusion of things.”
In this blog article I share with you 3 steps you can take to simplify your life. This is particularly important if things have got on top of you, there is too much clutter, you feel drained and overwhelmed and your energy levels are not what they should be.
One of the reasons why you might resist change is because of fear of the unknown and uncertainty. However, the best way I have found to simplify your life is to let go of anything that is stopping you from having a sense of inner peace, joy and happiness.
You might feel like you are not succeeding if you have to let go of certain things, however this extra load might be the very thing that is causing you stress and anxiety.
In the New York Times Bestselling book "The One Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results" the author, Gary Keller, explains that you must find the One Thing...

The truth about life is that you are forever running against the current when you either contemplate the past and the future or ignore the present moment.
However, the more you ignore the present moment the more you distance yourself from ‘being joy’. I would describe ‘being joy’ as the highest state of being that is true to you, that makes you simply happy, like a natural state of ecstasy.
There is no separation between ‘being joy’ and your personality traits. Therefore, 'being joy' means that you choose to deepen your relationship with yourself.
For this reason, living your life on purpose is essential for: “Where there is no purpose there is no joy.”
This is something I experienced in my mid 30’s when I questioned the meaning of my life. I felt lost, empty, unclear and disconnected from the world. I asked God: “Why am I here?” I did not feel complete, fulfilled, whole, happy and content despite the fact that I had...
