Have you achieved your goals in 2018?
We are now less than one month away from the new year and it is time to review what you have achieved in 2018 no matter how big or small. In order to support this article and to measure your progress and successes I am going to review the article I wrote at the beginning of this year entitled: “New Year, New You…!”
In “New Year, New You…!” I invited you to start the new year afresh. There is something very positive and exciting about beginning the year as if it was an entirely new start.
Let us review the questions and tips I outlined in “New Year, New You…!” so that you can measure your progress now that we are nearly reaching the end of 2018.
What are your successes in 2018?
Review of tip #1: What life are you designing...
As you know the only thing that is stopping you from changing and improving your life is you.
I believe that now is a good time to evaluate the progress you have made this year and to prepare the year ahead so that you stand in good stead.
The key question is what is the thing you have been postponing forever, you know it needs to be done however you keep finding excuses not to do it?
It is time to sit down, let go of excuses, draw your plan of action and execute.
Do you make the following excuses?
In this blog article I share with you the story behind the creation of the #1 bestseller YES! TO Love™: The Ultimate Guide to Personal Transformation for Everyday Life Balance.
I wrote YES! TO Love™ in 2015 and it was first published in 2016. However, my writing journey dates back to 2010. I knew there was a book in me. I attended my first writing workshop back then and my intention was to write a book one day... It was therefore something I foresaw in the distant future. Little did I know that I would start writing earlier than I anticipated…
The working title of the first book I wrote, back in 2010, was Happiness Creation (still to be released :))
A miracle happened that year: I first put pen to paper whilst reading Susan Jeffers’ book Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway. Her book had a life changing and miraculous effect on me. Susan’s book content was so profound that it got me inspired: I started to make notes of inspiration...
Sometimes you cannot see the light at end of the tunnel because you focus on the wrong thing in order to move your life forward or to take it to the next level. Change requires doing things in a certain way.
In this blog article I share with you 3 ways you can empower yourself in order to change your results.
When something goes wrong the general tendency is to ask dis-empowering questions, such as: “Why me?”, “Why now?”, “What have I done?” etc. Such dis-empowering questions lead nowhere. Therefore it is important to be aware that the quality of the questions you ask yourself will determine the quality of your life experience.
Consequently, asking yourself empowering questions can have a miraculous effect on the results that you get in your life:
For example if your goal is to create a career that you love you can ask yourself the following empowering questions:
F.e.a.r (false expectation appearing real) seems to be epidemic in our world and it is clear that the importance we attach to it can keep us paralysed and stuck. However, should you wish to uncover and fulfil your life’s purpose it is important to learn how to use whatever fear you may have positively so that it serves you well.
Can fear serve you positively when you want to uncover and fulfil your life’s purpose?
My answer to this question is YES! and I want to you how in this article.
1. Get unstuck
In order to get unstuck and change your results you must make the decision to do things differently. What most other people do when they are faced with fear is to remain stuck in the fear. Yet in order to let go of fear it must first be acknowledged and accepted. When you let go of resistance, you allow your fear to become your friendly ally and you can move forward and keep going.
Susan Jeffers said: "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" in her book of the same title and she is...
We are now more than half way through the year and you probably made some new year's resolutions last January such as: eat better, exercise more, spend less money, self-care, read more books, learn a new skill, get a new job, make new friends, get a new hobby, focus more on appearance etc. (according to YouGov poll these are the most popular new-year's resolutions for 2018).
Before I share with you the 3 Steps to Stay on track and Keep Your Resolution let us first look at what might be getting in the way.
1. You made a resolution but you do not really believe you can accomplish it
2. You are not sure that the grass is greener on the other side.
3. You are too busy doing other things and you have lost track.
These obstacles are very common and the statistics show that only 8% of people actually keep their resolutions.
Are you among the 8%? If not, below are 3 steps to stay on track and keep your resolution:
Step #1: Implement 'The...
Dr Wayne Dyer said that too many people die with their music still in them. What Dr Dyer meant was that many people have dreams but alas they never manage to accomplish them. Let this not be you...
I understand that sometimes you might not see the light at the end of the tunnel and you might feel like giving up on your dreams, however I would like to sheer you on by saying keep persevering!
In this blog article I share with you the 3 secrets to perseverance when you want to be on purpose:
Secret #1: Perseverance = Progress
Should you be disciplined, focused and consistent you are most certainly moving forward in the direction of your dream faster than you think. You might have the tendency to be hard on yourself because things do not seem to be moving ahead as quickly as you would like them to. However, trust:
Why are your thoughts everything?
Because your thoughts affect the quality of your life entirely:
As a reiki healer I often talk about vibration or the type of energy you project out whether it be positive or negative. When you project a negative vibration it is because you cultivate a negative way of thinking or negative thoughts and this negative way of thinking affects all areas of your life. On the other hand, when you project out a positive vibration it is because you cultivate a positive way of thinking and this positive way of thinking affects all areas of your life.
The choice is yours. Henry Ford said: “If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.” Choose your campus wisely the ‘naysayer’ or the ‘yes! I can’ campus and be aware that depending on which campus you choose...
In my vlog article Discover 3 Ways To Create Change I share with you 3 ways you can create change in your life and put them into practice when you do not get the results that you desire:
1. Stop doing what does not work
2. Do more of what works
3. Try introducing something new.
However, in this blog article I take this a step further by sharing with you a simple process you can implement to start doing something new or to do more of what works when you feel stuck.
Your purpose = your WHY
Your purpose is the reason why you do something, the direction you wish to take. It gives meaning to the reason WHY you do what you do. Knowing your purpose ensures that you are in the flow.
Your vision = your WHAT
Your vision is your WHAT. It is the way you express your purpose and the image you build and hold in your mind. Your vision answers the following question: how...
I want to thank-you personally for celebrating with me the 50th episode of The Everyday Life Balance Show.
When I embarked on this journey to start a podcast back in June 2017, I knew it would be fun! I have enjoyed this journey very much and it continues...
Do you have a project you have not launched yet?
In this blog article I share with you 5 things I have learnt since launching The Everyday Life Balance Show on the 1st of June 2017:
1. Practice makes perfect: recording the episodes took a long time at first, however the more I did it the more confident I became. The most important thing is to start even if it means taking imperfect actions.
2. What matters most are my subscribers and listeners: there was not a week I missed an episode. I am dedicated to helping you transform your life one step at a time.
3. Consistency is key: it is easier to give up than to keep going. I make it a priority to provide my listeners with transformational information and insights. I...
